Looking for suggestions of a product to apply and wipe off after washing and then drying with Master Blaster. Hoping to spruce up wetness and gloss and increase protection of Colinite 845 and get rid of any potential water spots from drying.

My vehicle is white and 6 weeks ago I applied 2 coats of black fire wet diamond all finish and 1 coat of Colinite 845.

Thank You!

I think you want to use a good spay wax to boost the coats you already have.A Qd is used a little different, such as to clean fingerprints, light smudges, bird droppings and when you're in that in between zone, its not really dirty, but its not clean either and you want your car to be clean and glossy looking

I agree with the spray wax. I usually use a quick spray wax after the Collinite…or another wax if I have more time for curing

i concur with the others i use a spray wax after every wash weather it be waterless, rinseless or standard. i use xmt360 mainly but optimum car wax works great also.

Like everyone else said, spray wax will greatly extend the life of the wax.
:)

I would use a QD as I dry and a spray wax once a month

Optimum Car Wax is my favorite, has a nice carnauba look to it. I describe it as warm, softer looking, not really crisp.

I just got the 845 and have this Quick Wax- excited to give it a shot!

I just did a maintenance wash on a white ford lightning with 2 coats of 845. Used Uqw and it looked nice and was slick as h*ll.

After using several different QD and Spray waxes over #845 I've found that XMT 360 leaves the best shine and it is definitely the slickest spray wax Ive ran across yet. I try to stock up on XMT 360 Spray wax every time I see on BOGO. It's worth giving it a try.

Thought I would follow up with the results:

Today was sunny and 68 degrees here so I decided to wash my truck with duragloss 901 and followed up with meguiars ultimate quick wax.

I learned several things today. I tried using my Master Blaster for drying panels as follows: roof and all glass, hood, each side and tailgate. By not letting the water sit till being finished with washing I achieved a wash with no spots this time. I'm real pleased because last time I used Duragloss 901 I had spots everywhere due to drying at the end of the wash.

Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax applied easily with no streaking. It increased slickness a lot but did not increase shine by any noticeable amount. Wishful thinking makes me say it increased by 5% but I feel most would say they could not see a difference. In addition, it is a white spray and a bit hard to see on a white vehicle.

My truck was corrected and waxed about 60 days ago so the shine has softened a bit since day 1. I had two coats of Black Fire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Sealant and 1 coat of Colinite 845.

So today I am pleased about no spotting but was hoping for more shine from ultimate quick wax to improve the shine of Colinite 845 on white.

Hopefully this is helpful to others.:)

My winter DD gets 845 in late fall, this year's application having been Thanksgiving weekend. After 3 months of PA winter, it was still beading well, but the "pop" was gone. Last Sunday's weather was mild enough for a good wash, followed by a quick application of OCW. I am truly impressed. The "pop" is back.

I currently have a coat of 845 I put on in early fall. My usual routine is during an ONR wash, I'll spray OCW on the panel I'm about to dry. Or after the car is done, I'd use Aquawax. Really gives the paint a nice look and makes it feel buttery smooth.

When using OCW, I feel it leaves a streaky look if applied after the car is dry. I own a dark grey car. Never had that issue with Aquawax. Once I switched to spraying it on before I dry, the problem went away.

This past ONR wash I added 1oz of OCW per 2 gallons to my water. Didn't spray it on while drying. Really left a nice feel/shine. I heard the new ONR formula sort of mimics the look and feel. Can't wait to try it.

Try DG Aquawax (951). You will not be disappointed!!

I have about 5 after sprays - meg's QW, aqua wax, wolfgang, BF and Ultima

Wolfgang hands down - surprised me....

Well I had a similar question and didn't think I should make a new thread so I decided to bump this back to the first page.

I have yet to purchase a Porter Cable so I waxed my car by hand with Autoglym HD a week and a half ago (washed, dried, clay before wax/no polish as of now). I need to wash the car and was wondering if I used something like Meguairs UDW or DG Aquawax would it help my wax stay on longer?

Yes, it will help in a few ways. It's a great drying aid to help not mar the paint and it will make your surface protection (whatever that may be) last longer. It gives a very, very slick surface.
