So I got to thinking about applying a quick detailer after applying wax or sealant. I understand some waxes and sealants can be applied and wiped off 2 minutes later. My question is some waxes and sealants say not to get the car wet for 4 up to 12 hours. So would applying a quick detailer be bad? I like to think and Im at work with nothing to do so this is the thing Ive been thinking of lol

I'd say if it says don't get the paint wet, then getting QD on the paint is not a good idea. The large majority of products in the detailing world are primarily water of course.

You shouldn't need to top a fresh coat of wax or sealant with a qd as it wouldn't really add much. With that said, I wouldn't touch a fresh coat of sealant as it would interfere with its curing process. With a freshly waxed car if you need to wipe it down because of streaking or sweating issues I would only use ice cold water, but thats just personal preference.

Honesty I never do but I hear others doing it and got me wondering.
