Question about Dampsanding.

Hi, everyone! So, I got my car recently painted at a cheap paint shop.. (1000 dollars with PPG Shopline Plus Basecoat and Euro-Clear) and he did a 1500/3000 wet sand...but honestly..it is half-@ss. There is still a considerable amount of orange peel and dull areas. I've done OEM restorations and hand wet-sanded fresh paint jobs (compounded and polished as well) , but I've never damp sanded with a DA. In question, I own a GG6 (Griots Garage 6") and a Hitachi Green Machine rotary. But, I was wondering. If I bought a 3" backing plate pad , 3" interface pad and some 3" 1500/3000 Unigrit, do you think it would be okay to damp sand with the GG6 ? If so, what speed would you any of you guys/gals recommend ?

P.S I don't want to order a GG3, if I can't use my GG6 i'll just buy a pneumatic one...since i have a 60 gallon in my garage. But I want to do it with electric device since I won't have my compressor turning on and off throughout the day. Lol. Thanks ya'll.

PSS : I don't want to dampsand with a 6in because I want it to be precise with a 3" and I won't have to change pads for small areas. I don't mind working with a 3" the whole time.

I've found trying to sand with the GG6 very cumbersome. Especially if I reduce it down to 3"

Darn... hmmm. Is it worth the trouble? Lol.... I see Griots Pneumatic Orbital is 80..where the 3" electric DA is 100. I have a 60 gallon 5 true HP Air compressor that exerts about 15CFM if that helps with any other options. And should I just stick with 6" since my polisher is already a 6"? Gah...I really don't know what to do.
