I want to apply Detailer's Paint Coating on my car and I just have questions.

1. How do you apply the product? Do you spray twice and apply evenly on the surface or just 1 spray on 1 spot and then distribute it using an applicator? How do you know if you applied enough product?

2. How do you remove the product while wet? And how do you remove the product when it's already cured and you don't want by a chance?

3. What is the curing time for the product? And can I do it on direct sunlight?

Thank you for your help.

Very user friendly coating.

PREP: USE THE DP COATING PREP POLISH FIRST!

1. Prime a foam applicator with 1-2 sprays. Then spray directly on panel. Hit each panel with a few sprays. Spread it out with your applicator.

2. It's never wet. It flashes very quickly. Then just go over it with a MF towel to even out any high spots or streaking.

3. Instant for me. It's as easy as applying a spray sealant. I did not use it in direct sunlight. I waited for a cloudy day.

From the product itself....
1. Ensure surface is cool to the touch and out of direct sunlight.
2. Place your hand in a plastic sandwich baggy and feel the paint. If it feels rough or gritty, use Detailer’s Universal Detailing Clay.
3. Polish the paint using Detailer’s Coating Prep Polish. This step is crucial as it will remove below-surface contaminants and imbedded dirt.
4. Working one panel at a time, spray Detailer’s Paint Coating directly onto the paint and evenly distribute using a Lake Country Coating Applicator.
5. Work the coating into the paint until it disappears.
6. If high spots occur, lightly buff with a clean, soft, lint-free microfiber towel

I have DPPC and have used it many times, I really like it because its very user friendly!

The first thing you need to do is pre-treat the pad/applicator with a squirt right onto the pad and then I spray 1 spray per panel but while spraying I drag it to get as much misted onto the area as possible, do you know what I mean? While doing a hood I may use 2 squirts and repeat my "spray and drag" technique.

As far as knowing if you've sprayed enough, well you can't really see it but you've just gotta trust you've used enough, not completely sure, use 2 sprays per panel and wipe it in real good, over and over is ok, work it in, your not hurting anything. Afterwards you may see spots where it looks streaked, those are "highspots" and should come out with a simple wipe of the applicator or a clean and dry mf towel, just buffs out, no biggie.

As far as cure time IMO it will initially cure in about 45 minutes to an hour or so and be completely cured in 24 hrs. Now about removing it, well, there's no good reason to do this so I can't speak to that. Your not going to want to apply in direct sunlight or on a hot paint surface either, no way!

One more thing, its good to do a good wash, paint decontamination and polish before applying any paint coating, slipping the polishing if your happy with the paints current condition, its gotta look good because your locking in the looks;)

Any other questions feel free to ask, we're here for you!

Thank you so much. I appreciate your help.

One more thing. There is this product for removing water spots and it's CarPro Spotless.

1. Do you think it is safe to use this after the vehicle is coated with DP Paint Coating?

2. What would you use as a booster to DPPC?

I would use a product like DuraGloss Aquawax to maintain the finish afterwards. It can be used while the car is wet when drying it off or afterwards when its dry, doesn't matter, the product is awesome:thumbup:

I just got the DP paint, glass, and wheel coating along with the prep polish. Can I use the prep on the windows?
Or should I just clean the windows and then apply?

I see problem with applying prep polish to the glass, I did;)
