Hello, I read on Menz website that they got this Heavy Cut Compound 300 (HCC300) and claimed to be 2-step in one product (step 1: compounding + step 2: polishing) and for the 3rd step they recommend Super Finish 3500 (SF3500) plus the last step is Power Lock Ultra.

My question is: Will it give me the same result as if I'm using menz PG1000 + menz SF2500 + menz PP ultra for the finish polish + sealant?

Because the HCC300 combination seems so promising with newest technology and all

Thank you

What type of damage are you trying to remove?

What kind of car/paint?

What tool (if any) are you using?

What type of pads?

Sorry didn't mention them before

Paint: Never done any test spot yet, but i'm predicting soft paint (toyota car)

Tools: shine mate DA ERO600 G1+

Pads: FlexiPads MF cutting, MF polishing, and LC thin pro ultra fine finish red

Cheers!

You might be able to get by with the 2500 and a polishing pad.

If your set on Menzerna go with the FG 400 over the 300, it finishes WAY better.

FG400 is a great 1-step compound but for me I do alot of wet-sanding/orange peel removal and SHC300 is WAY better than PG1000 at removing sanding marks quickly and even though it will never finish down like FG400, it cuts dramatically more and what's great about it is that no matter how significant the haze is that is left behind, I've always been able to jump straight to the finishing polish step (HD Polish+ or Scholl's S30+)

I believe that is the purpose of the 300, it does cut more and faster. The op says he's working on what he believes is soft Toyota paint and if so the 300 is overkill.

you are right, I didn't see his other post

Yes this is my point, thanks, i won't do any wet sanding, so can i just go with Pg1000? Because that's what i got for now.

Cheers!

Hello, can this wet sanding removal job done with a DA 600watt polisher? Or i need rotary to do that? Because i cannot get any GG or PC here in Indonesia

HCC 400 continues to blow me away for both cut AND finish. PG 1000 reminded me of the older Menz Power Gloss stuff and never gave me the finish that HCC 400 does now.

Yes, it is now possible to effectively level paint after wetsanding with a DA machine, the right abrasive product and the right pads.

What polishers have you used with SHC300?

PG1000 is the older Menz Power Gloss. Surprised they still making it now. I have a bottle with about 26 oz still in it.

Ahhh, thanks DBailey. I thought it seemed interestingly familiar. Funny you mention how much you have left cus I haven't used mine since 400 came out and probably have about the same left too.

So how about SHC 300 is it the same? Because the chart says that HCC 300 give more cut than the HCC 400, do i need to have SF 3500 after the HCC 400?

So can we consider HCC 400 as an AIO product?

Thanks so much for your answer, sorry for too much asking

Yes you're right, they still have it here in Indonesia, and i've bought a pack of 4: PG1000, SF2500, PP ultra, and metal polish cream

Just hoping that i can have good results on these products

Cheers!

PG1000, imho, is more rotary oriented, rock in a bottle type of product.
After 300 came out, the 1000 became redundant, since the finishing is worse than the 300.
I never tried the new 1000 version, but the old one that I have is used primarily as a safer alternative before having to wetsand it.
The main use I have for the 1000 is to act as a 'leveler', a pre-cut stage, when the 400 is not enough to eliminate the deep swirls, years of neglect and hack detailer's job.

Hei thx for your answer! So PG1000 is not working well with the DA polisher? And what's the difference between the 300 and the 400?

Cheers!
