I really like using Nxt 2.0 but I also use alot of Optimum products. I like to use optimum no rinse, OID, and OCW as my maintenance products. My question is will Nxt 2.0 bond over a spray wax that has carnuba in it? I no that the majority of sealants will not bond over a wax, but everyones technology is different. I also know that nxt 2.0 has some slight cleaners in it so it might bond to the wax. It will work over a glaze so will it work over a wax. Just wondering if I could reapply the Nxt 2.0 every couple of months without haveing to do a polish job. I like the fact that Nxt helps hide the minor stuff.Feed back please

Sweet, thanks for the response. Just wanted to check before I gave it a try.:props:

Good question. NXT 2.0 has kaolin clay in it which is a cleaner. I always use NXT 2.0 assuming that it will kill my existing paint protection. Assuming being the key word.

As for Opt Car Wax, while it is an extremely durable wax, I never considered it to lay down an actual "coat" because as durable and good-looking as it is, it's still just a spray formula. And applying OCW a week later after the next wash would simply "refresh" the existing OCW on the vehicle.

I also operate under the assumption that applying a non-cleaning wax or paint sealant on top of OCW will simply eliminate the existing OCW, that's why I only like to use OCW as my maintenace topper, or last step product.

Mike, I'm not trying to go against everything you just said but it sounds like your post was more like "go ahead and do it." Could you please provide some insight as to the cleaners in NXT 2.0? I never get a straight answer when I ask Meguiar's about it.

I would like to know also. Will the Nxt remove the prior LSP, in this case Optimum Car Wax, or will it simply lay on top of the wax? I would like to use nxt as my main Lsp, and use Ocw for a topper. Just wondering if I can redo the Nxt every couple of months without having to use a paint cleaner. I like to use Ocw after every couple of washes for added wetness and depth! Feed back please
