Question about pressure washer

So im in the market for a pressure washer as well, might go mobile in the near future, but for now Im going to use it at home. I read that if you have a gas pressure washer not to leave it on without running water through it because it might affect internal parts. What would be the recommended pw to avoid having issues like that? Thanks for your time peeps.
 
I went with the skid mount from 3D. I actually have two, both have Honda pressure washer & generator as well as a basic air compressor and 90 gallon tank. It works great for me I've had one for over a decade although I have replaced the pressure washer & generator & compressor once. I've had the other one for about 6 years & have replaced the pressure washer on that one.
