Question about wool pad vs foam pad

QUICK QUESTION...AFTER WET SANDING WITH 1000, 1500, 3000, AND 5000 I SAW MIKE USING A WOOL PAD TO BUFF WITH. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A WOOL PAD FOR THIS STEP,WHAT FOAM PAD COULD YOU USE ?? i HAVE A LAKE COUNTRY YELLOW PAD,WOULD THAT DO THE TRICK ???

I just did some wet sanding but only went to 3000 grit. I used a yellow pad with megs #1 medium cut cleaner (even though they say u can only use a rotary with it still got good results) I then tried megs mf cutting disc with megs ultimate compound. And believe it or not it come out very nicely.
If course i followed up with m205 or UP on a white pad.

I suggest u try if u have to set sand don't start that aggressive. Least aggressive method to get the job done first. U can always get more aggressive but if u start out really aggressive you can't go back
