Hello, I am having problems with what products to buy and how much for my vehicles and selecting the best kits to get the best price. The reason is I have 5 vehicles that need attention in the worst way(well atleast 3). Heres the list:

2000 & 2001 Ford F-350 Crew Cab Duallies Diesel, both are white with gold band on bottom. Niether has been clayed, polished or waxed in atleast 2 or 3 years. They are work trucks and are not garaged, they have intermediate to heavy swirls/scratches. I know they are work trucks but we do want them to look there best as long as we have them. We drive all over the southeast with our job so I m looking for great looks, durability and ease of use.

1993 Ford F-150 strawberry red extended cab. This truck is beat up pretty bad and same as above for clay, polish etc.. this is garaged 50/50. It is really a back up truck for other vehicles being worked on etc.. Main goal is same as above trucks.

2004 Acura TL Mettalic Grey This is my wifes car and want it flawless. Really deep wet look with ease of use and durability. It is garaged unless running around town for stuff and kids.

1991 Mustang LX Dark Blue maybe with metallic, not sure it is in build process and have not worked on it in awhile to remember, but want the same thing as for the Acura. This Mustang won't be polished until later in the year when i finish building it.

So here is what I know I want to Buy from reading thru threads and how to's.
Flex XC 3401
LC 6.5" Flat Pad 6 PK 1 of each pad listed.
Mequiars Professional Detail Clay Aggressive with Meq #34 Final Inspection as Lube.
Mequiars #105 & #205 polishes
As for waxes and sealants have not made up mind, thinking of 4 Star UPP and Souveran.
I am open to suggestions on other waxes and sealants and anything else you may see that may help me. I need help with quanities also.

Also thought about the Flex XMT Intermediate kit.
I have expierence with zaino products and cheap Orbital buffers from AutoZone and had good results with it.
Pretty much I have the things to wash car properly and dry propoerly.
Anything else to get job done easier let me know. what about pad cleaners and coditioners, I am thinking of getting the pad cleaner for the foam pads.
Sorry for long post and thanks for any and all advice.

Looks like your already on the right track. With 3 out of 5 vehicles being trucks, you have a lot of paint to polish. Buying the GG pad washer will be a good investment and will really help you from wasting time and energy messing with caked-up pads. I'll tell ya, I'm still washing pads by hand and it SUCKS!

OK, I'm ready for some before and after shots. :poke:

I like ceramiclear kits, and never had an issue with its use on any color. Just add your wash and wax.

Thanks for the replys! After reading up on the ceramic clear kits suggestion from killrwheels here is my order, I wish there was a kit for the Flex with 6.5" LC Flat pads like the Flex 6.5" LC CCS pad kit but I will try the CCS pads I guess or add the 6 PK Flat pad kit to the order.

Flex XC 3401 6.5" Pad kit w/ free bonus
GG Universal pad cleaner w/ free bonus
Mequiars Pro Detail clay(aggressive)
Mequiars #34 Final Inspection Gal(clay Lube)
Mequiars #105 & #205 Polish glaze
The Forum Favorite Kit(Klasse AIO/ Souveran)
LC 6PK Flat Pad Kit 2 Cyan, 1 Orange, 1 White, 1 Grey and 1Blue.

Total is $810.92 w/ 6PK Flat Pad Kit

Total is $760.93 with out 6PK Flat pad kit

Any other suugestions about quanities or to achieve same or close to same finish for cheaper?

Call AG and I think they will switch the pads for you as long as they are of equal value. I would call before you place the order and if placing on here they will probably tell you to write something in the notes. They are just as great to work with on the phone as here. :)

Re: "CHANGED" Question for products and order for best price.

New list to save money to buy extra product and supplies. I am going to list in the order of the process, PLEASE help with what to do before starting next step: example, wash vehicle before applying next step or how long to dry before applying next product. Here is the list:

Wash and dry vehicle. I use Meq gold class soap with Microfiber mitt and dry with the Absorber from AutoZone. Anything wrong with this? I do rinse mitt religiosly(?). I know proper tech to wash and dry and this seems to have worked well in past.

QTY 2 of DP Univ clay Lube kit $69.98 no wash afterwards if wipe behind claying well.

QTY 1 Flex XC 3401 XMT Intermediate Swirl Remover Kit Free Bonus $369.99 Follow instructions online or with kit, right.

QTY 1 Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze 33OZ $24.99 Do I need to wash after using XMT products before applying Klasse or wait to apply?

Qty 1 Collinite SD Wax #476 $24.99 Wash or wait like above question under Klasse?

LC 6.5" Flat Pad Kit $49.99 2 Cyan, 1 Orange, 1 White, 1 Grey and 1 Blue.

GG Pad Cleaner $134.99

DA Microfiber Bonnet Kit $39.99

XMT Intermediate Swirl Remover Kit $59.99

DP High Perf Glass Restorer $19.99

Total $794.90

Any Problems with this collection of products working together? Thanks to all that have helped and those who may help. I am an amature but learn fast and pay attention to details and instruction. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

If you get the flex swirl remover kit, you won't need the additional xmt kit.

My only other suggestion would be to get an 8oz bottle of the megs 105 and 205 as I think they are easier to use for newbies (like myself) rather than the xmt. I wasn't a big fan of it.

I would also trade the klasse SG for the AIO and you choice of collonite. The SG was a little bit difficult for me to deal with.....Collonite 845...a dream to work with.

These are just my 2 cents worth and my personal preferences so take them as that..

All of the products you picked are excellent

Have fun

The reason for the extra kit is I have 3 large trucks for the heavy swirl removal, the Acura and Mustang are small and not as bad shape. I was planning on the Flex Meq 105 & 205 kit, at this time my mind is swimming in "How-to, videos, products, techniques etc..." and don t know why i changed that. I am use to applying all the Zaino Products that are somewhat picky so applying thin even layers in the straight method is easy for me. I have some Z-2 & Z-5 left and thought about adding that in the mix for the Acura for an extra WOW factor. Just so many choices and recommendations for a Newb. Oh, thanks for your opinion(lol) and your compliments of my choices. I want to have it as close as possible to having all I need to do it right the FIRST time and be able to enjoy and maintain for 5-6 months.
