Question For those experience in Zaino AND other LSPs...

Oh man...you should have just bought 2 bottles of DG Aquawax and had one bottle's worth of Z-8...sorry!

Okay Setec, I'm ashamed of myself now. I also have two bottles of Aquawax.

I hold my head in shame. I told you long ago that I'm a bit touched in the head. LOL

The detail spray is Z-6; Z-8 is a spray sealant, and a very good one.

Clear Seal is nothing like OC 2.0 other than some anecdotal history and the WOWA application method. The comparable products to Z-CS are UPGP, Opti-Seal, BFCS, and WDGLS.

Both points are correct. And I agree Z-8 is a very good product!

I've had a curiosity for quite a while now and didn't want to jump until I've heard from others.

I have a pretty "extensive" (see: excessive) amount of LSPs for different colors, paints, looks like every other obsessed detailer. I’ve played with Zaino products in the past and had pretty good results with them but have since moved on to 845, BFWD, PB Nattys Blue, Liq and paste Souveran…you name it, I probably have it.

Just checking to see where Zaino Z2 Pro stacks up with everything else. From my reading, it looks as if Z2 claims protection of 3-4 months per application and people seem to have good/great results with it but that was “back in the day” and the internet seems to have gone quiet on Zaino for a while. Just testing the waters before I jump in and end up with another wax I don’t like that will sit around until I throw it out.

Thanks for your input.

Yeah back "in the day" I moved on from Zaino quite a few years ago. They still make great products but I think their are better.

I finally tried WG 3.0 Paint Sealant topped with WG Fuzion yesterday on my Black GC. Jeweled it with Wolf's The Jeweler first with my new Rupes. Wow!

And I like Blackfire WDPS way better than Z-8, especially when it was on bogo.

WGPS 3.0 is an awesome product.

Does someone have an extra Z-8 they could send me, I've gotta see if its TWICE the quality of AW.

It's not that it's twice the quality of AW, some of us feel it IS AW but twice as concentrated as the DG version.

Is it as easy to use? I feel like if it was 2x concentrated it would smear or streak and not buff off as easily.

Not that it matters but does the Z-8 smell like Coppertone sun tan lotion?

I used Z-2 on my Acura for several years. I have since tried other products and currently using BFWD. So far, nothing has lasted as long as Z-2. BUT, Z-2 changed the look of my paint by making it darker and more gray. My paint is Gregio which has a touch of brown in it. The BFWD brought back the real color and made the metalic flakes pop. Overall, I still love Z-2 (have it on my boat), but like the look of BFWD better.

Yeah, it can be streaky, you need to buff it in until it's gone, like most spray wax/sealants.

No, it smells like AW.

Well to me AW smells like suntan lotion, so we're on the same page.

As far as BFWD compared to Z-2 goes, well, I liked my Z-5 a lot but you might wanna try DG #111 because IMO its even better, just get some #601 to add to the mix to add durability.

For as often as the similarity between Zaino & Duragloss is touted, has anyone else scoured the internet like I have & taken note of there being practically NO visual comparisons between the two from which to draw an opinion? Just saying.

I mean, DG will forever be intertwined w/Zaino and is almost always the first brand mentioned when discussing alternatives to Zaino.

As an aside I have to say though, I have a different LSP on each panel of the ride right now and the front fender with 2 layers of DG #111(1st layer w/601; 2nd layer without) is the best performing LSP on the car in terms of water repellency, sheeting characteristics, and beading. This is the one product that really surprised me and caught my attention. A lot of people are lukewarm towards #111 though. IDK

I agree about the DG/Zaino thing for sure but some have said they are different, the debate continues. As far as how some feel about DG #111, well, I'm not lukewarm, I'm VERY warm on it!

I am a long term Z head. I detail my cars as a hobby but use ZCS on my work vehicles annually. I find I still have good beading and slickness 11 months after application on 3 trucks that are in florida keys direct sun 365 a year.

My toys always end up being black.
I have used, collinite, Menzerna, Klasse, Nattys, CG Blacklight, Dodo, and Fuzion.
I keep going back to the Z5 then Z2 combo, Z6 between coats, 3 coats a day, in the process of going over my Marauder right now for Fun Ford Weekend at PBIR next weekend. Then off to Atlanta for a national Marauder meet.
By the time I leave for PBIR there will be a minimum of 21 coats of Z5/Z2 on it. I put coat number 12 on Thursday night.

2 years ago I tried Fuzion on top of multi layers of Zaino. Incredible!
Then using PB QD+ for wipe down.
Seems to be the best combo for my car.

Z8? Never liked the way it wiped off. Still have 1/2 a bottle, I use it in my wheel wells when I have the wheels off LOL!

Border free blondes, pretty much all I use. I use my MF towels for wiping off my sunglasses and watches.

Just ordered another Fuzion today while WG is on sale.

Hey Boat, nice to see someone who keeps track of their coats, LOL! Let's see that Maurader!

Zaino Z-8 is one of my favorite products. Not user friendly in the least unless diluted 1:1 with distilled water though.

Why don't they dilute it from the factory then, surely enough people have let them know this?

Less is more! It's plastered all over their website. Some just can't comprehend that I guess.

No, it just makes sense to address the issue and make a more user friendly product, guess some can't comprehend that....I guess.

What's there to address? There's nothing wrong with the product.

If someone has streaking problems, theyre using too much.
