Question on edge 2000 pads

I have the edge 2000 pads about two months ago I used the green and white pad I wash the pads and cleaned as instructed let them dry out save them and yesterday I took them out to use them, the white pad is breaking apart and spots all over it and the green pad has spots all over it what can cause this I only used the pads for about 15 minutes.I am not buying these pads again.

Did you store them in a zip lock bag..if you did were they completey dried...if not they will mildew and the foam will break apart ....I made that mistake a few years back...thought they were dried but evidently the centers were still damp and they mildewed and the pads fell apart...Now I air dry them and store in a storage tub unbagged spaced so if they are still damp they will dry with out mildewing....

I AGREE....... I used my edge 2k 's and after washing them and air drying ,i put them back in the bags and stored them.......2 weeks later i opened the bags for some reason or another and the bag was wet and the pads were damp......they need complete drying time.......they may feel dry but they may not be.......;)
 
I agree with AL..it sounds like the pads might of been damp when you stored them in the baggy causing mildew to form on the pads..

Plastic bags retain moisture its important that everyone let there pads completely dry before storing them..
 
I guess thats what happen I will dry them longer and store them in a zip lock thanks for all the replies.

do not place in bags ..get a storage tub and store them...bags will trap in any moisture..they may seem dry on the outside but may be a little damp in the center....the storage tub works great....

I agree with Al, I don't understand the concept of storing pads in a bag. Before I had my plastic bins to store my pads in I just tacked them. Mind you I have a room in the house that I have converted to the "Detailing Room". But to me plastic bags and pads is not a good combo...well just my thought's.
