Have a question on product ratio, when it says 1:4 you fill the water up to 1:4 and then the product, or it says 10: 1,product first and then water, need info::grouphug:
Im pretty sure usually its water: Product. Example 3:1, 3 parts water 1 part product. However I have seen some people that write it the other way Product:water, Im not sure which ones right as i see both all the time. But if I were to take a bet I would say water: Product. Someone will chime in with a definite answer. Ill go do some research to double check.
I know this thread is pretty old but wanted to ask which one is it? And for example its 3:1 do you put the product in the sprayer and then 3 part water etc?
I've seen bottles have different labeling locations. Some bottles you add chemical first then water and some bottles are the opposite.
For example:
Meguair's bottles label 10:1 on the very top of the bottle so you add 10 parts water FIRST up to the line then add solution until it fills up to the "top ring".
Another bottle I have has 10:1 on the bottom of the bottle so you put the chemical FIRST then fill the rest up with water to the "top ring".
Usually it is the water that will fill up most of the solution you are making.
