Question on uses for Lake Country Pads on BOGO?

Will the tangerine 5.5" pad now on BOGO work with Meg's Ultra Compound for light swirl removal? Or do I need the orange 5.5" LC flat pad for that?

In the description it says the crimson pad is good for putting on WGDGPS. Could I also use it for Colonite 845 or another Carnuba wax?

I had planned on buying a selection of the LC flat 5.5" pads, but the BOGO is such a bargain. Thanks, Spiney

Yes the Cyan and Tangerine pads can be used with compounds/swirl removers.
Best practice is to use the least aggressive combination of both pad and compound.


The crimson pad may be used for all LSP application.

The blue cutting foam works well with Menzerna Power Finish PO 203 and Meguiars Ultra-Cut Compound. Both polishes have great cutting power and a clean, glossy finish. Use either polish/pad combo on neglected finishes and watch the paint come to life!

Tangerine Ultra Polishing Foam - The tangerine foam is made for light to moderate defect removal and polishing. It has the cutting power just below that of the Lake Country orange light cutting pad, and the tangerine pad leaves a finish like you'd achieve with a gray finishing pad.
Use a finishing polish or fine swirl remover to create a deep gloss. Menzerna Super Finish or Wolfgang Finishing Glaze are two excellent choices for this pad.

Crimson Finishing Foam - The crimson foam is designed to apply waxes, glazes, and sealants in flawless, even coats without causing swirls. The soft foam has very light polishing ability, making it a great choice for cleaner waxes, too. Since the crimson pad is made of Hydro-Tech foam, it does not soak up liquid waxes and paint sealants like some finishing pads can. You'll be able to cover more paint with less product. The crimson pad is a great choice to apply Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0.

There are only 3 colours in that type of pad as shown above:

cyan - cutting (use with compounds or med polishes)
tangerine - polishing (use with AIO's or med/finishing polishes)
crimson - finishing (use with finishing polishes or waxes/sealants)
