So I have a question I want to use Iron X or any other products like tar x or adding a paint sealant to my car but I dont have a garage. So i either do this out in the sun. If I were to apply Iron X car by car I read that people leave for 5 min. Should I leave it for the same time or less or just watch and make sure it doesnt dry on the car? and for sealant it says to wait 12 hours before putting on wax should i put a car cover at night so I can add wax in the morning? And would i do a quick cleaning with a microfiber towel and like quick detailer? So pretty much to sum it up how would one use these products with no garage?

Welcome to AGO! That's going to be a tough one...

For the wax over sealant question. If you choose to do that. Then you can get away with a quick detail or waterless wash the next day if you havent driven the car. If driven, do a rinseless. Or just wait 2-3 weeks to wash again and then wax over sealant.

i used the finish kare 3 step paint decontamination system in my driveway with nothing but some cloudy and cool weather and an ez-up over the vehicle..i sprayed the surface, and a mf towel and agitated each area to keep anything from drying...i worked the iron remover for about 10 or 15 mins...as for sealants requiring a cure time i let the vehicle sit in the driveway overnight and then do a rinse and a quick wash with a good shampoo (not a wash and wax) and then apply another coat of sealant or wax.

Just make sure it doesn't dry. On a cloudy day I am more productive with IronX. On a sunny/dry/hot day I will lightly mist the car with water after claying and then apply IronX. It helps keep things liquid.and for sealant it says to wait 12 hours before putting on wax should i put a car cover at night so I can add wax in the morning? When I apply a sealant it is usually first thing in the morning, this way with the sun out it will helpout the bonding process. You need to make sure weather conditions are favorable. A car cover may interfere with the curing process. In my situation a good sealant is Ultima Paint Guard Plus as it is well noted to cure faster with the aid of sunlight. And would i do a quick cleaning with a microfiber towel and like quick detailer? Yes. So pretty much to sum it up how would one use these products with no garage?

thanks for the input guys.

You could also try IronX Paste. When I use this I continue around the car with a wet mitt about 3-5 times. I've done this in the sun and was able to keep the solution from drying on the paint. It is a little more work then "spray on and wait" but it is an option for you. Otherwise, you could apply the IronX spray just before the sun goes down when it's not intense and beaming directly down on the car.

Sounds like you have a plan with the ez-up, but thought I would still throw this out there as another option for you to try.

yea that sounds like a good plan as well.. Might do that when im cleaning my uncles cars at his house. but the ez-up sounds like one of the best solution. Cause when I see its a good day ima put up the ez-up tent in the morning to have the car a little cooler and work near the afternoonish and it will be heaven to actually have shade this time instead of the sun beating down on me.

I have a 10 x 10 ez-up got it at SAMs club use it a lot in the summer. It's a worthy investment.
