Ok so I have a 2013 f150 and I buying a flex but I'm confused on which package to get. I have no experience and not sure Which one to get. I am looking at the Wolfgang polishing kit

Wolfgang FLEX XC3401 Ultimate Polishing Kit

Obviously my paint is still in good condition. I do have a couple scratches tho that I want to get rid of. But I want to start learning to keeping my paint nice. Is there anything that this Kit doesn't have that I will need to polish the truck?

Thanks for your help and time!

Hal

That package should work great! I'm not sure about the sealant never used it. You might want to get some more towel if you don't have any. Are you using the 2 bucket method with grit guards?

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I'm using the 2 bucket with grits.

So when I get the package do I have to clay bar everything or does the buffer skip that step?

Thanks again!

Yes, you do need to clay bar if not the pad is going to gum up. you can either get a nanoskin pad or just regular clay If you want to save money and which I think it is easier you can get the soap you use to wash your car use that as lubrication instead of quick detailer

And when ever you do anything besides washing you should clay your car like waxing sealant or correcting

That is a very nice kit which includes everything to get you going on the right foot.

IMO, they should create an Über package which includes the Lake Country Hybrid pads rather than the Hydro tech pads. Also the thinner pads are better suited to a free floating spindle DA such as the PC whereas the thicker style pads such as the Hybrids are better suited to the forced rotation nature of the 3401. By the way, the Hybrids were designed for the 3401.

Anyhow, the pads included in this kit are of closed cell nature like the Hybrids and work really well with the Wolfgang polishes. Below is an article I put together to help maximize the performance of this machine.

If you go with this kit I would start off with the Wolfgang Finishing Glaze paired with the Tangerine polishing pad for a test spot. If you go with the products listed in my article, start off with the white Hybrid, SF4000, running speed 5.
