I can't quite decide on which LSP to go with. There are endless sealant options by many brands offering the same shine and protection.

What I REALLY like about the Hydro2 is the ease of application. Especially since I don't really look forward to applying any LSP by hand on a big 2015 Grand Caravan, LOL.

1. If I use Megs Ultimate Polish, will Hydro2 bond appropriately since it contains some filler oils? Or will I need to use some type of IPA wipe down prior to application?

2. My concern with applying Hydro2 is even coverage. Since it is sprayed on and the dilution ratio must be exact, could there be a chance where certain spots on the paint where the "mist" of solution reaches lesser than other areas causing uneven coverage?

3. What is the difference between Reload and Hydro2? Are they the exact same product just one is wipe/on/wipeoff and the other is wipeless (as their labels indicate :))? Would I be better off with Reload?

Thanks guys!

I have never used Hydro, but I recently applied Reload (I applied CQuartz UK and the Reload was part of the kit). It was very easy to apply and wipe off, and it let the paint feeling really slick.

After polishing I would do an Eraser wipedown before LSP regardless of the polish used. I have Reload and Hydro 2 and have yet to try either. I am extremely pleased with other CarPro products such as, Forte, CQuartz UK, and Eraser. They stock excellent towels as well.

Can you use reload as a drying agent for maintenance washes?

In my opinion no liquid is a "drying agent/aid"! I think the detailing word needs to come up with a different word for such a product. When I dry my vehicles my goal is to remove all liquid, not spray more on.

I don't think reload contains any true lubricating agents. It's also very expensive to be us my every week or two. I would stick with a waterless wash or quick detailed for a drying aid. Another popular option is dura gloss 951.

AW ###! Amazing product!

If you cannot decide on a sealant, check out Duragloss 105 + bonding agent. Amazing combo for the result, price, and ease of removal :)

How about streak free agent? I use BFMSID while the car is damp and it helps keep everything streak free and looking shiny!

I wanted to use cquartz UK edition and use BFMSID after a wash but not sure if its compatible with the coating. Hence me asking about reload....of course I have a gallon of BFMSID cause I love it so much so I hope its ok to use.

I use to use BFMSID when I had my GT coated with UK, I never had any problems. Apply Reload without streaking was tricky...

I disagree. The idea behind a drying aid isn't to have less liquid on the panel, it is to add something to the water sitting on the panel that allows for quicker drying and reducing the chances of streaks or water spots.

It assists in drying quicker by adding something to the existing water that evaporates quicker than water by itself. This reduces streaking and water spotting. Drying agents also add lubricity to help prevent scratching.

Dilute the reload 1:1 and that will help with the streaking on dark colors.

Nice, did you notice any difference in terms of the look? I know when I use it after I wash its gleaming...not sure if it has any effect on the look of cquartz.

You have to wet the car prior to Hydro2, regardless, so re-wash the car after ultiomate polish, rinse, hydro2, rinse.

Do not worry about uneven coverage.

Thanks. So I'm one step closer to going with Hydro2.

A 500ml bottle diluted makes 12 oz correct? Is this enough product to cover a sedan and a mini van twice (once being now and once again in 3 months)?

between the two I would use Hydro2. I can not get reload to not streak on a black car. Even following Corey's advise to the letter. Also tried diluting 1:1 and its still a problem. By far the most difficult "QD" I have ever used.

Back to Sonax BSD for me.

500 ml makes two litres, or just less than 68 US fluid ounces. That's enough to do about 17 mini vans.
