Go to flickr and look at the photos in the 50mm 1.8 group

You should be able to find it for around $99. Try BH PhotoVideo or Adorama. I own this lens as well, it's pretty nice especially for the $$$. From what I understand from the experts, it's basically decent glass stuffed in a cheap enclosure with the low end focusing motor (which just means it's slower to auto-focus).

there is a new Nikon 50mm 1.8 thats supposed to be the bee's knee's, until I pony up the cash I will stick with my current

that lens is my go to lens for "walk around" use as they say. Razor sharp and works well
