Well I have a group of civics coming in and this was the first. I used to own an 8th gen Civic Si and one of the local groups here has a few members coming in for some work.

This car was in rough shape. Did the normal wash with CG honeydew and my foam gun followed by a nanoskin fine decontamination.

This car is a daily driver and the owner is on a very very tight budget while in college. I only did the exterior and this job came right in at about 4 hours with a lunch break for my son and I.

I wanted to get the most gloss and correction I could with one step on this soft honda paint. Started with my flex 3401 and a white hybrid pad with Menzerna pf2500. I tried fg400 but it didnt seem to finish out so well on my test spot when I took it out into the sun light.

And the end results

Looks great! Side note: cabinets in the garage? Awesome :)

Yea we just moved to this house in n
november and that's what was in the kitchen. Fortunately now they are in the garage and the laundry room :)

When I said one step polish I meant one polish step not just an all in one polish/wax. I apologize. I used Menzerna pf2500 with a white hybrid pad and my lsp was menzerna PL followed by liquid souveran.

Wow great job!!! That's an amazing turn around for a 1 step and more incredible that you finished it in 4 hours!

I hope the owner appreciated your work and will try to maintain the perfect finish. :)

Came out nice. Boy those Civics really are all horrible with the windshield cowling, my brother-in-law has one and it looks just like that, almost white.

He's very happy. Also got him set up with some proper towels and car wash supplies. So it will stay looking good. It's nice working on these newer Hondas the defect removal is super quick. I really like working on them.

Thanks everyone on the feedback. I've been doing cars on the side for over 15 years since before I had my drivers license. Just recently I started documenting my work and trying to get my name out there and not just be word of mouth. Things are picking up and this year had been crazy busy.

Thanks. I have a coupe to do tonight and another Sunday from the local Honda group.

Awesome job!

Is that midnight blue? I see a little speckle in there which you were able to bring out.

Honestly on the civic once it's faded I haven't found a good product for it. They need to be cared for off the lot and maintained to stay nice. Once I get someone willing to pay for the time on a civic I may dig deeper into cleaning and higher end products but for my basic packages I don't go that far. It's probably cheaper to replace it.

On this car I tried backfire tire and trim sealant, CG vrp mothers back to black, CG silk shine and then I gave up after a diluted apc scrub and trying all those products again. They just made it a glossy gray color.

Hmm, I wonder if C4 or DLux would restore it. Next time I see my brother in law I may try C4 or Opti-Lens, although it will probably be Thanksgiving and I'm not sure if C4 goes with turkey...

Yeah for a budget such as his NICE WORK!!!! He got his money's worth

Yea unfortunately at the $160 price point Dlux is not included and I also don't have any. There are a bunch of guys in the civic group if someone wants to shoot out some samples of products ill try it on them with pictures. Something has to work. What is odd is that the products kind of just floated on top and didnt seem to really absorb at all into the plastic. Just finished an 08 tonight that had a very faded cowl and VRP worked on it just fine. It darkened up the color and made it look even. On my old 2007 I had a similar issue to this black one. I got it used and it was already long gone when I got it.
