Quick Review: CG Glossworkz Glaze and 4Star UPP

I see no appreciable dusting when using UPP, and its so easy to apply thin and even because of its design. Are you using the newer version that was polycharged ???

Great review. UPP is such an underrated sealant. It has been one of my favs for years.

To those of you who said I was getting dusting because of a little too much upp being used, you were right. I applied it today via pc and red pad, on our black odyssey, and I made sure I applied it even thinner than before. And lo and behold, hardly any dust if at all. Thank you for the advice.

I don't know why I shelved this product for 2 years. I got caught up in all the hype of new products, I forgot about what works, and works well. This is possibly the best looking sealant for dark paints. Doesn't even need a topper.

Washed odyssey, then coated her in upp, applied via pc. Again, photos are UNEDITED.

I just got the sample pack from them which includes the orange, white "pictured as gre" and black. Any suggestions on which pad and speed on PC?

If you are using Hex Logic pads you will want to use the black finishing foam with Glosswokz Glaze, and personally I wouldn't drop below speed 5. I have used GG a few times and found spreading product on speed 3 or 4, then work the product into the paint on speed 6 for 3-4 passes, then finishing off with light pressure on speed 4 or 5 depending on paint. After working it into the paint you will have very little residue to wipe away.

The best wet, deep look I've seen with any Glaze is Wet Glaze 2.0. Words are hard to describe it but it's in class by itself in my opinion in terms of looks and slickness. Doesn't fill or polish or clean or seal but is only for getting that "pop" we all want. It's acrylic and doesn't wash off like other glazes. Can be applied under or on top of any LSP or applied alone for a show car look.

Glossworkz needs to be applied at high speed like 5 or 6 as it has to be worked into the paint to be effective. BL and EZ are not really known as filling glazes. Glossworkz fills much better than either. BL, EZ, and Glossworkz are different and you can't compare them equally because they are each used for different results. Apples and oranges.

If you have to work the product in why not just use a light polish?

My idea of a product that fills is to save time. Also I don't like using glazes because it drastically cuts down the life of the wax/ sealant. I have GlossWorkz but only use it for people that call the day before a car show and they want something to make the car look better.

It polishes like a fine nano polish and fills similar to CG Glossworks glaze. The key is that it doesn't remove clear coat and can be layered to produce a perfect finish after 2-3 applications. Does a product like this have a place? Yes.

I bought a bottle last year....applied 3 coats and put it on the shelf....I almost paid to ship it back to ag shelf lol

It's all about technique and prepping the paint. It's a great product.

i haven't heard of sonus blaster. For me, I just lightly polish my cars 1x a year.... it keeps all my vehicles relatively swirl-free for the year. I know, inevitably, swirls come back to some degree from washing, detailing...etc. But if I need to use the buffer for a light polish, I pretty much always go to white pad and PO85RD type of polish.

In addition to dark colors, UPP also looks great on metallics. With all the new stuff constantly coming to market it's easy to forget about our old favorites, but every time I pull upp out of my cabinet and use it, I am always impressed.
