I know AG doesn't sell it, but I don't like it, so I thought it would be ok to post..lol.

It is pretty slippery, but it's almost like claying with car wash soap. It's thick and foams a bit, so you can't really see the paint while you're claying. That's a big no-no for me. Also, you can't just wipe it off, you have to rinse it(like car wash soap). I don't like that either. Some of you may like the way this product works, but not me. I switched to Meguiars Final Inspection halfway through the car. I like it much better!! :dblthumb2:

Sounds like you were using the concentrate perhaps?????? Does it say Refill on it? I have used Born Slippy with good results!

I got the refill and diluted it 10:1. Didn't like it. Pain in the butt to have to rinse off.

It is different than a tratitonal clay lube......works really good with an agressive clay and not drying the car off for me. PM me if you wanna trade it away!

I have used it and like it...fact that i have to wash after is no issue as I always do a strong wash (with apc or citrus wash) after I clay to remove any left over residue from the QD/clay lube or even the clay. As I am claying I have never wiped the lube away or anything as I can get around a car in 15 min and little dried clay lube is not a big deal as I am going to wash right after anyways.

Send it to me Mark so I can see if I get the same results ;)

Mark, are you using final inspection straight or can/do you dilute it? Thanks

I use it straight. Dodo definitely isn't your traditional clay lube. It's kind of like a car shampoo, IMO.

I dont really care for the name of it  although Ive never tried it.

Thanks for the commentary. I liked Final Inspection but have been using ONR most recently. I have some CG clay lube that should be at the front door. Opps... I better go check for a delivery.

man, this sounds so opposite of my experience with this product. Its difficult for me not to wonder if something in your process is polar opposite from what I am doing to use this product.

I am experiencing little to no foaming, and easy wipe off. Yes if you shake the bottle, the product will bubble up. I am also seeing and feeling less residue than a quick detailer after wipeoff.

BUT, Megs Final Inspection is a really ideal product to use for claying as well. and wipes off really cleanly with basically zero residue. That is because Final Inspection if a body shop safe formula, with no protection, wax , sealer, or silicone by-products in it. And its also priced VERY well. I have used this stuff for my car after it was painted, and loved it, and now after reading your review, I am going to give it a try for claying.

Thx for the review !

The only thing I can think of is I'm using a lot more lube than you(which I do). I'd rather use more than less when claying. :xyxthumbs:

Final inspection does leave something behind, try sticking tape to the body after using it....not very easy.

Just bc it is body shop safe does not mean it leaves nothing behind just men's the product that is not going to harm a paint job done on other cars due to silicone in the air.

Have you tried CG luber? I'm thinking a product like poorboy's spray and wipe might be a great lube because it supposed to leave nothing behind.

Don't see the point as you should wash the car after claying as it does leave behind residue. Like I said I just leave the lube on the car as why waste time wiping it away if I am going it foam it up with a citrus wash.

Spray and wash is a decent lube as well.

Do you just foam the car and rinse after claying, or do you take a wash mitt to it as well. Other than born slippy, what are some of your favorite traditional clay lubes?

if you use CG citrus was, you can just foam the car, let it dwell and rinse. Atleast this is how I do it when I am claying a car with a lot of contamination.

I foam it up with citrus pre wash, or Pac and soap. Let it sit and do a fast once over with a mitt.

I have used born slippy, one, spray and wash, pinnacle live, oid, water, and fk425.

Thanks.

After claying a panel, you don't bother to wipe off anything, you just move to the next section?
