I had to change a tire out for the GF so I had to pull the wheel. After getting the new rubber put on I thought I would try a little wheel cleaner challenge. I still have Brown Royal to test out as well but I don't think it will fair well. I've used BR the past few details and while it cleans the wheel up, it doesn't really do anything for the stubborn caked on stuff. I don't have a before shot, but you will be able to tell just how bad this thing was. Its off a 2006 Buick Terraza van, nearly 100k on the clock and before me, never really cleaned. The Meg WB knocked this thing out of the park. The Uber was straight from the bottle, WB was 4:1. Soak time was 3 minutes, then hit with a semi-firm brush. Here is the after pic:

Nice comparison shot.

Just as a side note, I checked out the sales page for for the Uber product. All the pictures are of the same wheel (while they are showing it being cleaned) expect for the Before/After two totally different wheels (note the wheel weight position)

Wow.. the left side is Uber wheel Cleann and the right side Megs WB?

Correct, the wb did a fantastic job. The uber. Did change color like the pictures but lacked the muscle. You can see where it pooled and did better. But wb just ate that stuff up.

wow.. that's a huge difference. Good info.

uber shuold be used to maintainance washes while WB contains acid and should not be used regularly

WB works extremely well because it has acid in it...Ive used it only when everything else fails...

Agreed.

Uber does not have acid in it and is more of a light duty wheel cleaner while WB has the strength to knock out severly neglected wheels. Hence the reason WB outperformed Uber in your comparision.

+1

WB is almost the last resort but be careful....i got too close and accidentally inhale a bit of the WB. I was coughing out a lung for a minute or two.

Ouch, I can't imagine sucking that stuff into my lungs! I know it has acid and I was hesitant to buy it, but I am very glad to have it in my arsenal of tools Sometimes I will use it just to spot clean the wheels. A dab on a towel, wipe on, wipe off and its like magic! I just wanted to get out there that this is something to have just in case, and not use all the time. Once a wheel is cleaned up, keeping it clean is easy.
