So with all the lovebugs currently smashing into cars here in Fl I have been removing them from my car 2x a day. I decided since I had time tonight to wash the car and get all them off completely. Also I wanted to put another coat of wax on the front just to make sure that I am completely protected from clear coat damage. It was getting dark when I finished but I did the best I could with my gfs crappy camera. Questions and comments are always welcome.

Process:
Wash: Duragloss #901 w/ foam gun and Edge Schmitt
Bugs: Poorboys bug squash 3:1 and Pinnacle scrub sponge
Tires: Wesleys bleche-white 3:1 and stiff bristle brush. Dressed with Armor All tire foam and Extreme gel (not for photos)
Rims: were recently sealed so just a brush and soap
Wheel wells: WBW and Armor All tire foam
Glass: Megs glass cleaner 10:1 and waffle weave glass towel
Wax: Chemical Guys Petes '53 and Megs #26 on front end
Minor swirls correction on front end with Hitachi rotary and Optimum Poli-Seal on blue Edge pad

Just for fun a CG '53 beading shot after 2 weeks

Just love it when this is a quicki wash.....you can quick wash my car ANY time..

Great work

Yeah I know, not exactly a wash/wax only. But it was quick. I had the whole process done in about an hour and fifteen mins max. I only waxed the hood/front bumper/fenders to keep a good layer of protection on the paint.

Nice job !! I would love to test drive a GTO.
Love the color and looks like that P53 does good work.

The Petes '53 is real nice. I am very happy with it. Here are some pictures in the sunlight for a good idea of what it looks like with good light.

Looks pretty good. how do you like Pete's '53 wax? Better then #26, right?

Look good, I like how the paint looks. I like blue, my favorite color.

Nice pictures by the way.

The car looks great, awesome blue. How would you compare Petes '53 to Souveran?

That car looks hot unreal colour.
Well done.
Dave

I would say that Petes '53 is almost exacly the same as Souveran at half the price. I am going to buy a couple more tubs for long term storage. It has insane wetness and depth but I havent' had time to test durability. Souveran is a little easier to apply, but that's really splitting hairs. I think with a lot of high end waxes it is very difficult to tell the difference. Souveran might win on a red/black car, but on my car its the same.

I think that everyone should give it a shot, if you don't like it I will buy it from you.

Beautiful, just BEAUTIFUL!!! Love that car and love the color. Great detail.

It's nice to see that others are having such success with Pete's '53. I've been testing the durability and DAMN it's good. I've never ever had a product on my truck (wax or sealant) that has stayed slick for that long. I'm on week 3 and have only applied on layer of Pete's '53 initially. Slick as all hell, unbelievable, I don't know how they do it. The beading is just plain stupid, I might not need my Guzzler anymore!

I have a tub for myself and bought two tubs for some buddies. Mix this with my new CG Citrus Wash and I think I can throw everything else away.

:)

I LOVE PETE'S '53!!!

Lol Piet, Chemical Guy's make some amazing products don't they? Try their pro polish +, or their bodyshop compounds, and you'll fall over from the beautiful finish it produces. Are you finding the wash n gloss strips wax at all? or are you doing small concentrations for your washes?

Btw, to the OP, beautiful goat!

They make too many of them, it seriously confuses the crap out of me when I look around their website!

I haven't used the CG Citrus Wash yet, just got it this week. I see that you are only supposed to use half an ounce per two gallons. Say you use four gallons of water per wash, that means you can wash your car 128x times with a single gallon! That's 2.5 years!!!

Talk about CONCENTRATED!!!

P1et...I haven't seen the beading yet but I'm gonna wash my mom's 4 Runner sometime soon. I am excited and looking forward to see how slick it's gonna be and how the beading will be.

I'm on Week 4 now and it just rained earlier today, still good beading and surfafe is still slick as well! Excited so far!
