How often does this happen to others: Plan to just wash and dry your car and you end up doing a full exterior detail that lasts 2 hours? After the wash, I saw spots on the windows, had to get those off. Clayed the windows, then resealed them with flyby30. Figured since I had pulled the car into the garage to do this, might as well spray some quick wax over the entire car. 2 hours later, my car looks great and I cant even remember what I was thinking about during this therapy session. I cant be the only one this happens to? Am I?

Every time. Normally it starts by saying "Hmm maybe I'll just give the inside a quick vac" Before you know it the buffers out.

yep everytime lol I generally tell my parents Im going to go wash my car before I go to school and before I know it im waxing with my buffer when lol I just waxed it two weeks prior what can I say I love detailing and using my amazing dewalt buffer.

Just happened to me the other day. Decided to wash it, then waxed it, noticed bumps so I clayed it, sealed everything, waxed it, tire shine, windows and then changed the oil haha....Looks great though:buffing:

Ummm, it takes me at least 2 hours to get everything out, clean wheels and tires, foam, rinse, do a 2BM wash, then dry with a spray wax or QD.

happened today, went to get tar off my grandpa's caddy and ended up going over it with m205 to give it more gloss an take care of some paint transfer. came out looking stunning.

UGH! Every time. I tell the wife that I am going to "wipe down" the car. She knows by now that I'm a gonner for a couple of hours. Very therapeutic for me.

I don't ever wash cars. there are just different levels of detailing.
My "wash" takes 2-3 hrs.
I can never just "wash" a car

Don't worry, this is perfectly normal so the next time just expect it and go with it!

lmao yeap, you brush your hand up against the hood accidentally and you're like WTF BUMPS!?@# Start putting your life on hold to clay/ polish your own vehicle. :buffing:

I'm actually afraid to put anymore compound on my truck, I'll end up burning through to the dam metal if I keep buffing it.
