Did my Mom's neglected 2007 Land Rover LR3. Pretty good for a one step + sealant! Could have gotten much better results with m205 second step but this was a chore as it was. Sorry if the pictures dont work well, white is hard to photograph!
Materials:
Meguiar's car shampoo
Sonax wheel cleaner
Simonz detailing clay
Meguiars QD
Meguiars M105
Orange/black CCS pads
Porter Cable polisher
Tape
Chemical Guys Jet Seal
Chemical Guys VRP super shine dressing
Dirt/bugs galore
Dirtyyy
Swirls/watermarks etc
after washing/claying.
50/50 after m105 and an orange pad
50/50 that I tried to edit to show the difference
Close up of hood after!
Close up. Had I taken it a step further with m205 I'm sure most of the minor imperfections would have diminished.
After applying jetseal and VRP super shine. Woo!
(picture doesn't do it justice)
Not a bad reflection considering how this thing looked!
Before/after
Another before/after. Again a second step on this car was definitely indicated, but because it's a white car, daily driver and is about to see a winter I decided this was sufficient.
Things I learned:
1. It was my first time using M105 and it's the gold standard for a reason! Great compound! I had to use a bit of QD to extend the working time and it dusted quite a bit, but the results speak for themselves.
2. This was my first SUV. HOLY COW they take a lot more work than a sedan. My arms are about to fall off.
Thanks for checking it out!
