This is a "pre-sold" 2007 X5 the dealer picked up in Michigan and drove to KC. It was the dealer demo vehicle and saw lots of washing/drying with a terry towel I suspect.

Before's:

Due to time limits for delivery, I only had 1 day to complete this vehicle: wash/clean wheels, then used Meguiar's #83 on a 3M compound pad to remove swirling and scratches. Followed with Meguiar's #26 applied with a pc. The plastic body panels were dressed with Auto Magic dressing. The interior got a thorough vacuming and wipe down with diluted apc and terry towels. Start-To-Finish was 7 hours.

Master Toto, you have her looking new....The paint is so glossy, thanks for sharing....

Sparkie: the X5 was literally new (8,000 miles), but used as a demo vehicle by the sales folks at the dealer...so probably didn't get the best appearance treatment. One feature I did really like on the new X was the shift lever....electronic. Pretty cool.

Nice work toto. I saw the title of this thread and laughed when I saw "black" in the title. Isn't black just implied???

What machine did you use w/ the 83? It finished down very nice, and you only need to put 26 on top?

Great turnaround on some sad looking paint. I used to live next door to a car dealer who use to bring home the "dealer demo" once in awhile. Believe me, they do not baby these cars in the least. I remember once in the dead of winter in sub freezing temps watching him get in the car and rev the engine to four or five thousand rpms for about ten seconds and fly out `the driveway. When a car is sold with "executive driven miles" I stay away. Sorry to drift from the post, you performed your usual magic of which I'll never get tired of looking at.

Nice work. I'm impressed that you were able to do it so fast too!

That's an outstanding turnaround!!! I love these new X5s so much, that I seriously consider buying one! And guess what color??? Black!!!:righton:

Very nice Toto! Those dealers really know how to swirl a car up. They must go through special training.

Toto you need to go have a talk with that boy! Then again... I guess his carelessness does make you money. :D
Great job as always Toto! You can accomplish more in 7 hours than most of us can do in a full weekend. Sorry.... I know that sounds like a Marines commercial, but it is true! :D
