Now THIS dude was hilarious. Hope he goes wherever Richard Pryor went, and they team up again. :xyxthumbs:

So many great movies. I liked Stir Crazy, watched it a few months ago and I think it still holds up.

We bad, uh huh!

Willy Wonka (Wilder) was a favorite movie of mine as a kid. I still like it. Gilda and Gene will be happy together.

R.I.P. to a truly funny man. Young Frankenstein is still one of my favorite movies

I was 15 and took my girlfriend to see Blazin Saddles; we both laughed till we couldn't breathe! Well, technically her parents dropped us off at the movie - but I paid for the tickets and popcorn... RIP Gene, you were an original and will be missed. It's funny, but here, 42 years later, I still remember seeing that movie and how much of a big shot I felt to be on an actual date. And Gene, thanks for the line you gave Cleavon when he asked what you liked to do -it became my favorite and my girlfriend didn't play chess!

RIP

The man was a truly classy person. If you watch any of his interviews, you'd see how genuine the man was; none of that bourgeois, pretentiousness thrown at the camera like so many.

The very first theatrical feature starring Mr. Wilder I saw was The Woman in Red. My elder sister took me to see it.

So sad when I heard the news. He shall be missed by many.

Just his presence in a film was
worth the price of admission.

And:
For having entertained us with so
many wonderfully comedic roles:
may his heavenly reward be
boundless. Say Hi to Gilda for us...
