R.I.P Mr. Shelby

I got a txt about this today and its a sad day in the automotive world for sure but he lived alot longer than anyone thought, he was the oldest, living heart transplant patient, rest his soul!

Watch for a re-running on Speed of On Assignment Dave Dispaine "Carroll Shelby" great biography from his racing career up until the GT-500 Super Snake. It was shot in 2011. His last wish was to drive the 1000HP GT 500 to 200 mph. I hope he got that chance. All Shelby Signed cars just went up in value.

It's a shame to lose him but he lived a very full life. Did everything he set out to do, and lived way past what he was told he would. He was told in the early 60's he had only a year or two to live and he needed to slow down. He never did. RIP and Godspeed Carroll. Q
 
Im late to the thread. Knew about this yesterday, but, havent been on the computer all weekend. I still wanted to wish him well. I think all car enthusiast owe him a bit of gratitude regardless of whether or not they like his cars. His cars influenced the development of other fine automobiles.

Rest in Peace Mr. Shelby. Hope you are "raising hell in heaven."

Yeah I remember lusting after various Dodge GLH's 30 years ago.
 
R.I.P to a legend in the automotive world. I hope the 13 GT500 destroys and conquers in his memory!
