Rain X vs Coating

G|Techniq G1 is the most durable Glass coating for consumers. Opti Glass Pro is easier to apply but is a pro-only version.

RainX shouldn't even be a comparison to a coating, nor sealant for that matter.

:props: rain-x is old technology. with the advent of glass coatings, there is currently no need for old thecnology. i have the DP glass coating on my xterra. (all exteroir glass). its been months now, and still holding up like the day it was applied.

I just did pbl on my three vehicles, not very impressed so far. Cleaned glass with website cleaner, ipa wipe down and then coated. I let the vehicles sit for about 24 hours indoor. I have fly by thirty which will be my next coating to try. If it performs the same I'm going back to rain x for the price.

Agreed. I'm not impressed so far for black label coated. Just 1 month in snow, ice condition, it seems it lost its performance. I was smiled at first, but now I think I will do clean and apply another coat to see how when I have time. Maybe scraping snow, ice and wiper did damage to the coat.

I have Rainx, Aquapel, PBL. if price, performance then like previous comment, pack of Aquapel on sale is the good candidate.
