Hello. Have a '25 Escalade. I was doing the initial wash on it and noticed a pen tip sized dot on the drivers side door.

Not sure if this is from a small rock or a defect in the paint. I hadn't noticed it before

Thoughts ? Claying it did not remove it (no surprise). It *appears* to be raised and not a chip

I did a zoom in on it, it looks like it's under the paint to me. I have a couple of things that look like that on my FJ, both on the cowl area right next to each other, I bought it second hand, so I don't know if it's ever been repaired in that area. I don't know how to fix this short of a re-spray, I never bothered on mine. Chances are you're the only one who will notice without pointing it out.

Stop the artillery fungus with stone? Gardening Q&A with ...
"Arterial fungus" is a misnomer; the correct term is "artillery fungus" or Sphaerobolus, a type of fungus that forcibly ejects its spores, often landing on surfaces like siding and cars, leaving unsightly black spots.
