Rant: Body shop kindly washed my car...

The autobody that I went to deals with Ferrari and other exotics as well but they still managed to scratch the vehicle in various places, less scratches then what the dealer did

Lesson learned for next time. Hope the correction goes well. I always make sure the dealer knows NOT to touch my car. They look at me like I have 3 heads when I tell them.

Parents kindly used my window towel that in use after first washing the window during the 2bm and waited until after to clean the window and there goes a another towel.. Also used it to dry the bloody wheels!!!ugh!!View attachment 33861

I'm already terrified lol of my imminent trip to the dealership with signs ready to go up. This has me wondering where else should I be on guard for the free Swirl Option..

Just remember to hang a tag and verbally tell them next time. Most places will be glad to not spend the extra time washing another car.

DO NOT FORGET to get them to write it on the work order sheet and get the shop guy to co-sign it. This makes them liable. The verbal request and a hanger on the rearview mirror only go so far, trust me.

Never thought of that but great advice! :dblthumb2:

When my parents bought their new car from Ford, it was completely covered with pollen. When the dealer washed it and and they brought it home I, of course, had to check it. 99% flawless paint (although it was metallic and can sometimes be hard to tell), except for the black plastic trim on the pillars.
