RE: A Preliminary Review of SON1C Carnaubavore Wax

Due to the Columbus Day holiday shut-down...
I had to wait until today (actually this evening) to pick-up my Postal-order of:
"THE" CARNAUBAVORE WAX...The brainchild of AGO forum member SON1C (Drew).

As the thread title suggests:
This is just a precursor of a more "meat and potatoes" recapitulation.

As such:

And a most pleasant of a surprise:

^^^A requirement for plastic-products/containers sold in the USA.^^^

Recycle Number 5: PP (polypropylene)
Polypropylene has a high melting point, and so is often chosen for containers that must accept "hot liquid".

OK...That's enough for now. Until then...

Nice catch Bob. I would have never noticed that.

Let us know how it goes. Is this going on the blown Vette?

ROFL! Only Bob!

Can wait to read the "meat and potatoes" review and see which vehicle will deserve the honors

The "Dinner Bell" was intoning its solemn-beckoning:
Just as the "parcel of pink" was arriving.

glad to see you are liking it so far :D

Also surprised you noticed it is polypropylene. I chose polypropylene as it is arguable the best plastic to use for this, very sturdy and will not warp under any heat it would be exposed to in its normal life. PET jars cannot boast the same attributes. It is also a double wall jar thus encapsulating the wax twice.

Re: A Preliminary Review of SON1C Carnaubavore Wax

I let wax haze for 12-15 minutes, then used B.F. I.D. to pick up haze with a plush m.f. towel. Spritzed towel and panel. Did
three coats this method. Great results.so far. I coat was done in sunlight. Wax worked great.

As John said, I recommend letting the wax cure 10-15 minutes and then spritzing your microfiber with a QD or like product and then proceeded to buff off the wax
This wax can be wowo but it is not how I recommend using it

Looks good, If im correct, collinite 476 comes in an old fashioned tin can, which tin was phased out in the 1940s for steel
