Really...Tom Brady...

I love to see Brady fail since I think he is totally overrated, but it's hard to root for the Jets since not one player, or coach, on that team has any class whatsoever.

I can't stand watching these guys score a touchdown and do those stupid dances and celebrations. How about you act like you've been there before.

I too think it's gonna be a Packers/Steelers superbowl. I think the Packers can pull it off if they keep playing the way they have been.

Meghan,
Me being a huge Jets fan since 1968, I couldn't be happier with the results of the game yesterday. Me and my 2 sons were jumping around the house like a bunch of crazed lunatics. Beating the Patriots is ALMOST as good as getting in the Super Bowl. I did say almost right?
Sorry for your loss (not really:xyxthumbs:)

I went nuts watching that game last night! Go Jets!

I predict a Jets/Packs Super Bowl............

If the Steelers play the way they did in the first half against the Ravens it's possible, but I highly doubt the Jets can beat the Steelers. But thats just my opinion.

I was at the game yesterday and they were just flat. Brady didn't really look interested. Crowd was into it, but I thought that there was going to be a revolt when they decided to take a page out of the 2005 Eagles play book and go slow-mo in the 4th quarter with 10 minutes to go. Jets just played like they wanted it more.

Get a little pressure on Justin Beiber and he becomes a very ordinary QB pretty quickly.

The Quarterback is clearly the leader of any football league and Tom Brady did not step up to the plate and fill that role when the Patriots faced the Jets in last nights game.

Tom Brady's credentials for potential induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day are already in place. He won three Super Bowls, two Super Bowl MVPs, set the NFL record for most TD passes in a season (50) and is likely set to claim his second NFL MVP award.

In 2010, he set NFL records for most consecutive pass attempts without an INT (335) and most consecutive wins at home (28)

Like him or hate him Tom Brady is already a legend. His performance is gaged by the statisticians and these numbers are impressive. May times I hear folks compare todays players to those of yesteryear and they shouldn't. If a team such as the New England Patriots of today was to play an NFL team of the 60's it just wouldn't be fair, that's how much better the level of play is today.

Tom Brady also has something rather ugly beginning to surface with some consistency; his post season play. Take a look at the last 3 post season runs with Tom at the helm.

  • 2007, Super Bowl XLII, 17-14 loss to Giants: Brady was 29-for-48 for 266 with one TD. But -- after throwing a record-setting 50 TDs in the regular season -- he was sacked five times and lost a fumble against a relentless Giants defense.

  • 2009, wild card, 33-14 loss to Ravens: Brady went 23-for-42 for 154 yards with two TDs and three INTs. He was sacked three times and lost a fumble in a rout.

  • 2010, divisional, 28-21 loss to Jets: Brady went 29-for-45 for 299 yards with two TDs and one INT -- his first in three months. He was sacked five times against a Jets defense that confused and battered him.
One question that begs to be asked is; is Tom Brady afraid of the post season? I'm beginning to think so because his face last night was expressionless which is not characteristic of Tom Brady. He was lifeless on both the field and sideline.

I hate to say Brady's style both on and off the field reminded me allot of Drew Bledsoe....

I dont think Tom Brady laid an egg for the game. I think the entire Pats team did. I think the Jets played real tight defense on the passing game and gave Brady no chance to throw. I know they say its the year of the quarterback and whatever but I am not buying this. I think the team has a lot to do with how a quarterback plays.

Brady was pressured all day and looked confused out there. Everyone was saying he was going to demolish the Jets for calling him out.

In the end, we saw a second year quarterback play brilliant and I think this was because he got the protection from the O-line and the defense, yes the defense, helped out by changing the momentum of the game with that first interception.

Sanchez showed he can play at a high level when the stakes are high by showing poise and having zero turnovers. What an entertaining game!!

:iagree:

I saw Brady throw a few good touchdown passes that the receivers just didn't hold on to.

He did have some good passes. Crumpler and Welker both dropped TD passes.

Plus I think after that sack where his elbow got the helmet to, I think he was hurting after that. They ended up running a lot after that instead of being aggressive and passing.
