When my wife and I decided to start our little business, back then it was only a dream. Now that the dream has come true and we are very blessed and humbled to be where we are. We had our struggles and obstacles and continue to have on a daily basis but that's part of the business that we are in and continue to push ourselves to be the best that we can be.

Years ago I made a promise that I would detail a car, one of my favorite cars of all time. The owner, I respect a lot for what he does. He is a fireman.

These people are constantly putting their lives at risky on a daily basis.

Well that day had arrived and a promise is a promise. We support our troops and fireman so, that was only one thing in my mind, make this iconic car, his car come to life.

Pontiac TransAM WS6

Now, he hasn't driven this car in a long time, embarrassed and just didn't have the time to make it proper.

As it arrived to us.....

Notice already even super dirty, the swirls, hazyness and water spots.

Now I was on a time crunch. Wife dropped off then at to us without him knowing, surprise present. It kind felt like Overhauling. Lol.

I had about 8 hours to get this car to the best finish possible. Talk about pressure.....

Products used:

Carport SnowFoam/CG Citrus
Decon IronX
2 Buckets

Dewalt Rotary/LCPurple woolpad
Flex3401/LC Orange/White/Blue pads
3M sanding papers 1500/2000/3000
FG400/HDCut
HDAdapt
PinnacleAdvancedPolish
WolfgangSealant
Pinnacle Souveran

I did 50/50 of the paint condition.

The taillights before

Door handles

Side upper panels on both sides completely wet sanded, buffed and polished.

Mirrors

Headlights

After many hours of dedication I was able to get the car done just in time before he arrived.

Final shots.

Love this picture

And the happy owner.
A project that it will be in my books. Respect for this guy that's all I can say.

Thanks for looking.

One of my favorite car designs, great work! Maybe someday i will own one :)

 Francisco you make me miss my 2002 Firebird. Great results in only 8 hours.

Very nice work Francisco!

I've buffed a few Trans Ams and Camaros out from this era and I've always found them to have very hard factory paint.

These body styles look mean and fast and when the paint is polished to perfection then the package is complete.

I hope you shared with him how to keep it looking this way or signed him up for a maintenance program.

Super craftsmanship!

You did in 8 hours what takes me two + days! Awesome work and awesome gesture. Thank you for your support to those who serve.

Oh yes I did, not once but 3 times just to make sure. I even provided him with a few helpful tools like the Grit Guard.

You are right, super hard paint that's why I had to bring my dewalt out. Overall with the time that I had I was very pleased of how it came out. He broke down in tears.

Thanks Mike.

Thank you and yes, 8 hours. I wish I would have taken more pictures of the before, but time was against me and I had only one thing in mind, get it done for him.

That's phenomenal! And like others have said, in that time frame is hustling to say the least. I would have loved to share the moment he arrived. He must have been overwhelmed!

And that's the real payoff.

Thank you and yes he was super happy and emotional. I knew it was going to be a challenge but iknewwjqt I had to do. I had the tools to help me get the job done.

Thank you and yes I agree. It's funny that you mention that because he actually made a portrait out of this picture. I captured with my iphone5S. Not bad guess.

Now where is the Burnout Video?:hungry::Picture:

Having a Z-28 from the same era I can acknowledge the pain the paint can be, and the fact that these cars have quite a bit more surface area than appears Im the MAN

Nice Work:buffing:

Mike as a fellow F Body owner my 02 SS and my dad's 02 Z28 do have very hard clear. I agree with you that Pontiac got the look right for the trans am.

that is awesome...this is perfection and then some...

Thank you.

Thank you. Lol, yeah he was about to do that but then again the last thing he wanted was to have rubber stuck on his paint after all my hard work. So he took it easy as he was leaving.

Very nice of you to do that for him and yeah, they all put their lives on the line every, single day! The car looks great, really good and I found it funny that a fireman has a FIREBIRD, LOL!

I love love love Firebirds, it looks like you did a SPECTACULAR job on this one...BUT why is this an Iconic car? They made tons and tons of them. Just nit picking I guess but I was thinking a one of 7 cars made kind of thing, or something like a gullwing MB

Great job!

just wondering, why did you sand and not just buff it out? because the CC was so hard? (just wondering)

either way great work! :applause:
