Reccomend a Quick Detailer.

FK425, FK146, Optimum Qd'er ... just great products indeed !

Re: Recommend a Quick Detail Spray.

i've only heard of the FK stuff; haven't felt the need to try anything more than Optimum :shrugs:

Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer Quick Detail Spray, opt quick detailer, spray detailer, waterless wash, instant detail spray

this stuff is absolutely incredible. super slick, no solvents and no smearing/streaks for me. i use it when drying the car off after a wash; it's great for that esp if you are going with the recommended 3:1. and for $20, the 32oz concentrate at 3 or 4:1 will offer you full bottles of spray for quite a while. i recommend using distilled water for the mix.

stuff is awesome.
I disagree! Buy the gallon and share with friends. $12.50 per gallon is an incredible value. I also haven't tried FK425. I prefer Optimum to Griots, CG, XMT and even the very pricey new WG and you mix for 4X more product

In all honesty, which of the two do you like better?

I like them both equally. But, it seems like the FK425 doesn't streak as easy. The Optimum can if you have an over active trigger finger and use too much product.

Killrwheels, thanks to your wisdom it's made it easy to build my detailing arsenal. :xyxthumbs: BTW, love the 4* on black as you suggested in some other threads. Thanks for the help and advice.

SHARING! that doesn't compute! haha...

but your point, i agree wholeheartedly.

You guys should give Lucus OIL's QD'er a try you guys will be very suprised

I recently tried it (dont remember it being a qd'er however, more of a spray wax). Quite oily ... but did streak in direct sunlight. Nice size bottle, got it at Autoparts Store on sale for 5.99. Seemed gone by first wash.

Maybe theres two versions or updated recently to spray, here is a pic online :

I am with Trichard, get the FK 425 in the gallon size. Its super slick and easy to use.

Another vote for FK 425, I have not found a situation where it hasn't performed beautifully.

I used it on night waiting for my girlfriend to get off work while i was waiting in the parking lot I applied it to the whole truck and then buffed it off. The truck was pretty dirty so I used quit a bit of it. It worked great. DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss streak a bit to used at a QD but still works great.
