Recommend me a good carnauba wax

Question: If I were to add another coat of the wolfgang would I have to wait 12 hours for it to cure before I add a layer of wax on top??

So I went with another layer of wolfgang. Damn. Looks even wetter than before. Really happy with the depth and clarity of the reflections. It was kinda hazy outside so the pictures don't really do it justice. Even put it on the wheels too! Figured it couldn't hurt. I ended up ordering the natty blue because I figured it would be a decent way to get my feet wet in the wax world before I take the plunge on something more costly. I plan to apply it on top the wolfgang. Do you guys think the natty's will make it look even wetter yet again?

Wait, isn't Collinite 845 a carnauba wax, not sealant.

I never saw anyone answer this question.

Collinite 845 isn't a true wax like many of those marketed as a "true" carnauba wax. 845, like 476, is a hybrid that includes all sorts of other proprietary ingredients. This isn't a bad thing. 845 looks great and has really good durability. You can't go wrong. If you were after a Collinite product with a heavier concentration of carnauba, 915 would have been the way to go.

With that color and flake in the paint I would lean towards Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax when you are ready to move up in price point. With durability not being an issue and garaged this would be my top pick for that color/flake. They have it in a 3oz container for $30 to try out but you'll quickly wish you went for the 8oz container ($60). Keep in mind AG throws sales constantly so full price can be avoided (subscribe to the email list).

Thanks for the resources and recommendations guys. I can see how buying waxes can become a bit of a problem for some of us!

So much too choose from and everyone has their own favorites. Impossible to get a answer for the best. Lol. I just ordered a bunch of Collinte 845 because of all the positive feedback on here from the stuff.

Have you given any thought to a carnuba spray wax? It might fit the bill since you're garaged and it can be used to wipe off fingerprints and light dust.

You can't go wrong with Collinte #915, seriously! Its been mentioned here already and the stuff is easy to work with, despite what others may say if you search about it. I've been using it for 2 years and have applied it every which way as far as how long it sits on the car and have NEVER had an issue with removing it. This product is real gem here, buy it, use it and you'll love it and its inexpensive and a little really goes a long, long way, apply it thin and you'll have a great reflection....providing the paint has been prepped beforehand, ofcoarse!

What's the difference in quality of the Collinite 915 compared to 845?,

The 915 is a hard paste where as 845 is a liquid. With 915 you get more durability and much more stunning depth on darker colored cars but again it's all in the prep!

Thanks sir. So the 915 lasts longer on protection than the 845?

Between the 2 of those yes, but Collinite #476 will outlast #915 and still gives a great finish!

Sorry to throw a monkey wrench into things.

So does Collinite 845 $uck. Lol
No but it doesn't last as long as #476 or #915 but then again those products are hard paste whereas #845 is liquid....most of the tone, LOL

I don't think Collinite 845 is a carnuba wax. 3D Poxy is my current favorite. Very easy on & off.
