Hi Mike,

Question,

I have several vehicles euro and US that need some love and care.

1) 1995 Ford F350 Crew cab, Paint is in good condition however had some light brush scratches on the rear fender that I would like to try and rub out within reason, polish job then seal/synthetic wax.

2) 1997 Porsche 993 I am the second owner only has 59,000 original miles on it. Was my daily driver until the value went up so high I parked it in the back yard. Paint is very good but needs a minor correction and polish job then seal/ synthetic wax.

3) 2015 BMW X1 my Dads car. He’s not as fussy as I am and does not take good care of the of the vehicle. It needs a minor correction. I was thinking of AIO product for him?

4) 2016 VW GTI Autobahn. This is my daily driver and I got it with real low mileage 7K original miles. Paint is very good but has some minor scratches and needs a correction and polish job then seal/synthetic wax.

5) 2019 MBZ C 300 the bosses car, my wife. The paint is excellent. Maybe AIO product? Or just clay and seal/ synthetic wax?

With that said, I know everyone over thinks this stuff. After watching a few hours of your videos it sunk in to me. Keep it simple!

You mentioned the technology has really changed and that is where I am a little confused. There are so many products out there. But what should I buy. I loved and really respected what you said. Pick a system and keep it simple. Now that you know what I am trying to do. Can you please recommend the product or products best suited for my situation? Thank you Sir!

Best,
Bing

Clearly I'm not Mike but ...

For your vehicles which need paint correction, you could go with 3D One. With just this one product you can "adjust" the level of correction via your polishing pad selection. Then apply an LSP like Wolfgang Deep Paint Gloss Sealant (regular or SiO2 version).

For your vehicles where you'd like to use an AIO, you can't go wrong with Blackfire One Step.

Hi Mr.57Rambler,

Thank you for the reply.

3D one sounds great. I Also like the idea of being able to adjust the cutting by changing the to a different pad. I just looked at mikes interview/review of the product. Question, have you used 3D speed? or 3D proxy? The owner of 3D in the video said that speed was like 3D one & 3D proxy in one product.

Another versatile polish is Optimum HyperPolish. It also provides different levels of cut based on the pad you use, and has zero dusting. I use it for just about everything short of totally jacked paint. Then I turn to Sonax CutMax.

For sealant I am really big on Sonax PNS these days. It’s pretty much all I use. It’s very easy to apply, lasts a long time, and repels dirt very well.

Good luck. Sounds like you have some projects.

Hey Bing,

Thanks for taking this from an e-mail to the forum. :xyxthumbs:

It's Saturday morning, I'm getting ready to buff out a boat and tomorrow I'm going out on a boat fishing.

Will do my best to answer your questions on Monday.

And PNS is an aerosol. Just spray on / wipe off.

From what I read, it has to be an aerosol because the mixture has to be in an airtight container. Once it hits the air it has a flash time and hardens. Sounds like cool stuff!! Thank you for introducing me to this. :xyxthumbs:

Hi Bing,

Looks like you have already received some good direction.

My advice would be, if you don't already own an orbital polisher - then get one. You have way too many cars and way too much correction to detail this many cars by hand and you don't want to use a rotary buffers.

Happy Monday Mike!

Hope you killed it fishing this weekend!

I have GG9 /w 5" backing plate & GG8. I have LC CCS pads to work with. I did get a good direction here by some of the gracious members. Now that your back form an awesome weekend. Would you be so kind to chime in on the subject. Thank you in advance.

Hey one more PNS note... if you go that direction, go really light with the product. You can find some videos online. I recommended it to a buddy and he used it like a liquid sealant and he had a lot of problems with it. You really have to go light and removed pretty quickly.
