Hi All new guy hear. I have clayed, polished (Megs Ultimate) and glazed (Megs Mirror Glaze 7) my car. I need a recommendation of a top coat wax or sealant. I have some Griots BOS wax on hand or it would need to be something that I could buy locally. Need to have my car ready for a car coral at the Savannah Speed Classic this weekend. Any advise would be much appreciated.

Here are a few pics after the polish but before the Mirror glaze.

Collinite 845 or 915 are usually available at a local marine store.

Use what you have on hand, why not?

I agree.

slopeslider, since you went through the paint prep, your car will probably be the best looking car at the show, independent of the wax you apply.

Thanks guys. One last question. How many coats of the Mirror Glaze 7 would you recommend applying? Just one? Or do multiple coats really bring out the shine?

I don't think there is anything to gain from layering a glaze. One coating should fill in any of the imperfections you're trying to hide. In fact, the more glaze you layer on the harder it may be for the wax to adhere to the surface.

Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant 3.0
Just sealed my new black 2015 Ford Taurus. Looks outstanding, makes the metal flake pop! Super slick finish, easy on/off with no streaking.

The pictures here are compressed and don't show the fine detail of the originals

I took your advice and decided to go with the BOS and layer it. It's in process now. 1 coat let cure for an hour and then layer a second coat on top (leaving the first coat) and let it cure overnight and then layer on a final coat and let cure for 2 hours.

On another note, I was really impressed with Meg's Mirror Glaze 7.

For that color I would use souveran paste wax ,so maybe purchase from the geek so you have it.Just use what you got for now.

GSKR, what's the advantage of using Souveran for dark colors?

It provides depth and protection very good stuff,or try fusion wax or pull up there website they give you a description on every product they have inventoried or call the tech line. From years of doing this my opionion would be the 2 as mentioned above,if you want durability and depth may be go with Collinite ,but the souveran is so easy to apply and take off its not cheap though compared to Collinite good luck and have fun.

Souveran maybe last 2 to 3 months ,with Collinite expect 4 to 5 ,but what you are saying is that you want depth being in a car show,it's a toss up just pull up the web it can get mind boggling with all the products they have .
