So I've been looking for a detailer in my area for a while and i finally found one. So, when I called him to see what kind of stuff he used he said he used a wax called Red Velvet and I was just wondering how good of a wax it was.

Never heard of it.

i couldnt find anything about red velvet on froogle, google, or even indexing web pages by filenames.

I would suggest you pick up a tub of DP Maxwax, and let him wax your car with it :)

I would just pick up some max wax and do it urself its really pretty easy just read up on what to do take your car on ur day off and clean it up its fun and outdoors.

do you guys think MaxWax is better than Liquid Souveran for dark paints? specificaly black like my car? what about nattys blue

I have heard that max wax is really good on metallics, LS is good on whites and lighter colors, and NB is good for darker colors(kinda like a poor man's souveran)

You sure he didn't say Black Velvet? TOL (Top of the Line) has a wax called Black Velvet. On a dark paint, Natty's Blue all the way, NB/Souv/CG 5050 are tops when it comes to dripping wet dark paint.

Its possible that its just a name assigned by their business and the product could be from any number of sources.
Here at the shop a customer never sees any product that doesnt have our name on it.
