Well yes and no. Claying depends on WHICH clay you're using, and it's possible to not abrade in any manor. Polishing otoh is a totally different matter. OptiCoat is harder than some paint and can actually be polished, albeit lightly. It WILL scratch and can even look like swirls in the paint, except it's just in the OptiCoat.

But yes.... I guess the key word is *eventually*. Eventually it'll get worn down, but I'd not think claying it 6 months after installation would do it.
