This upcoming week will be the last week on TV for the historic Regis Philbin; his last show will be 11/18. After Regis leaves we will be stuck with Kelly Ripa and whoever his replacement will be...if you like Regis enjoy his last week!

IMO, Regis' best days were playing 2nd banana to Joey Bishop.

TL <--- boy am I old!

I didn't know Regis was still alive nor do I care. Guess I'll miss that last show.

Does anybody really care ? If you do and/or watch the show you need to turn in your man card .

I'm proud to say I've never watched more then 5 minutes of his show. I hold no personal ill will towards him, I just don't care for all the fakeness that it is

Hope he has a wonderful retirement

I got good ole Regis on the DVR; I like to watch him in the evening, makes for light harmless entertainment. Plus, regardless of the person or profession, 80 years old and still going strong; I wonder how many of us are going to be able to say that.

I like watching movies on Lifetime when I want to relax and get in touch with my feminine side :)

Mrs 07's favorite channel.....glad I got rid of cable! LOL!

Tomorrow, friday, is Regis's last day. You can see him tonight on the TV Show 20/20 and on Letterman Tonight.

Than comes friday...and "POOF" he will be gone.

Enjoy

Hey, I was wondering if there was a thread when OPRAH left...j/k

Honest Question (no snark): What is he famous for? Is his main claim to fame the show he hosts? I don't get why people on TV are making such a big fuss about his retirement. I wish him all the best and maybe I am "out of the loop" on this one but I am just not understanding all of the hullballo

I've always watched and loved his show growing up because it meant I was off from school if I was watching it. Then the Price Is Right was on next!

He is a Notre Dame fan too, so he's always been good by me. I always yell at the TD Bank commercials that make him look like this feeble old guy who doesn't know how to operate a computer.

Outside of that, I don't think I've seen hiim on tv for 15-20 years.

Jerry Seinfeld will be guest hosting a few times. That is the only time I will watch it, being a mega Seinfeld fan myself.

You're not by yourself, TL. I remember when Regis started out as a nerdy yes-man sidekick to Joey Bishop, who regularly abused him (verbally) on his show. It seems like a long time ago, and if nothing else the man has staying power.
