Greetings!

I'm just getting into car detailing and I would like to know what good microfiber towel kits are available. I had an unfortunate problem with the AutoZone brand towels causing minor swirls on my car (the mitt has only been used once and it's shedding!). I use a gentle left to right motion as I move down each panel of the car (1 clean and 1 soapy water bucket) so I don't think it's my method, I could be wrong though.

So what are some good towels for washing, polishing, and drying? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

First use the two bucket method and I use this to wash the car with Meguiarís extra thick Microfiber Wash Mitt. For towels you get what you pay for so spend the money on good MF towels.

Anything you pick up off AG will be off good quality. Spend a bit more and buy quality products that are safer for your paint. I only use OTC towels and such on door jambs, wheels, or interiors.

Hi Night...and :welcome:...to AGO!

There has already been some excellent suggestions for procuring MF towels.

For example:
Following smack's (Mike) below advice...

Will wield you with MF towels, that you'll see, are the difference between:
"Night (pun intended) and Day"!!

Bob

Chinchilla for waterless washing
Miracle Towels for removing polishes and waxes
Cobra Guzzlers for Drying

All avaible from AG.

Considering the Bogo deal, I would get..

Buy One, Get One Free!

(Purple) Super Plush Deluxe 16x24 for washing (x2)
Woobie for removing polish/wax (x2)
Guzzler for drying

@ Above because of what u said, im get the Woobie because i always wanted towels that does a good job at removing polish.
But if it turns out not good, im hunt u down!!!!!!

Thanks for the replies, this helps a lot. I can barely do anything without a good towel Lol.

Lots of great resources on this site, I'll take a look around and see what else I can learn...starting at the basics of course.
