I have a 2003 Yukon and would like to have a remote starter installed in it. Is there any brand that you guys recommend over other brands ?
I would like one with sufficient range two remotes that also control my auto locks and security system and reliable.

Directed Electronics is the one I trust the most. Avital, Viper, Valet, Clifford, Sidewinder are all brands under DEI

I just installed one for my 2007 Honda Pilot with remote start. I went with Viper since they tend to be one of the best one as so they claim to be. I had the shop install a bypass too.

+1. DEI is the most reliable. Avital automate viper Python same brain different remotes

Don't go cheap, I bought base models before and they aren't as good.

With the technology that's out there now, I'd get one that has an app on your phone, so you can remote start it from far away.

I've had good luck with Python in the past.

Compustar all the way. I've sold every brand over 15year career and Compustar imo better in every category. Range, reliability, remote operation, remote quality & vehicle integration/flexibility.

Rommel, thats the other brand I was thinking and just couldnt... Ive also had good luck with CodeAlarm brand starters.

You can't go wrong with CodeAlarm(Audiovox) or any DEI branded systems. Its just you can do much better with Compustar systems imo :)

Start from your phone requires a seperate module & a yearly subscription. It can be added to any DEI brand remote start. There is 1 with tracking & 1 without

does anyone have any experience with excaliber remote start ?

Excalibur is made by omega. We've been using their modules for years. Looks similar to the DEI setup.
