Recently I had an accident with a taxi driver, the taxi cab side swiped me and damaged my side bumper and fender. I checked the damages and they are indeed removable because I did a test spot with just my saliva and a bit of scratching which did remove a bit.

So I was wondering was there any product in mind that can help with the removal of these marks without any agitation to the clear coat?

This might be a stupid question, but why not get his insurance to fix it? While most of the black stuff might come off, I'm guessing you will have damage to your paint also.

That's not goo.. That's called rubber from a tire.. Common sense ....

Try Tarminator.

Or just get a can of Naptha.

You can also just use any of the milder polishes available. But be sure to try claying, after Tarminator or Naptha, but before polishing.

Tar X if it's goo, polyshave block if it's "rub-off"

:iagree: just saw your post

:iagree:if it is true goo! Dont let sit to long, MF quick re apply if needed. You are probably going to have to re apply wax/sealant but this is what we have done for years. Works great on tree sap too!

Often times a product like 3M Wax and Adhesive Remover works on bumper and tire scuffs without heavy rubbing. Just remember to reapply the wax or sealant afterwards.
