Removing bed liner.

A friend contacted me about a problem he has with his truck. He applied a bed liner himself and got some overspray in places he doesnt want it. Is there a easy way to remove it without damaging the paint? He showed me he can rub it off with his finger so I know it comes off. If I use some polish and my buffer will that ruin my pads? Or would it just scratch the paint from being on the pad and now rubbing on the paint? I have the truck now so I am open to ideas.

I would try 3M Adhesive Remover. Just don't use it on plastic trim.

Goo Gone would probably also do the trick.
