Hi all,

During an afternoon wash on my black car yesterday I had come across some unnoticed bird droppings which more than likely have been sitting on the paint for the last 2 days.

As I've rinsed and washed it away it has still left some markings behind which can be noticed at different angles and in direct light.

Would this need to be machine polished in order to remove or can I get away with using a specific product?

Any info and recommendations would be great :)

Try some M205 (or similar polish) on a MF hand applicator. If that doesn't do it, try M105 (or similar compound). If you have to use the M105, just remember to go back over with M205 to polish out the haze. Re-apply your wax or sealant either way.

I would use a DA polisher if you have access to one. Try the least aggressive method first. M205 on a polishing pad (white). You could even try a polish on a compounding pad (orange) to step up the correction instead of using compound. I highly recommend Menzerna FG400 as far as compounds go.
