I've come across a problem that I’ve never had to deal with before "calcium build up" and by this I mean around the window edges of a pickups canopy I will try to up load some photos in the morning to better explain myself.

So far I have tried everything I have that is safe for glass and rubber but all I can find that works is pulling back the rubber and scrapping it off the glass with a razor. My question for Mike is what would or how else do you know of removing it. My question for everybody is has any else had this problem before.

Have you tried white vinegar? I would soak a towel with it and then run it over the stain. Follow up by rinsing with plenty of water as vinegar is acidic.

No i haven't ill give it a try and let you know. Its a stain yes but its caked on forming a "crust" around the window frame and rubber. i have just never come across it before

I don't know if CLR would work or not, or if it would be safe to use around the rubber. It takes deposits off shower heads and such. The white vinegar might be safer. Good luck.
