Hi I hope I'm not double posting and posting in the right place I was wondering how I remove dealership decal from my trunk lid any help and advice is greatly appreciated

Method I've usually used:

Make sure surface is cool
Saturate in GooGone, CarPro Tar-X, or Stoner Tarminator
Gently, very gently use a PLASTIC razor blade to start trying to peel the decal off

I've heard of using a hair dryer or heat gun to remove it but I don't want to mess up my paint it's a 2014 black corolla with around 6,500 miles I just want the decal gone don't want to advertise for the dealership I bought it from

Hairdryer method works great, any residue can be removed with tarminator.

I've been lucky the last few cars I have purchased. One just put a big sticker on the rear window advertising their website. Easy to remove since on glass.

Other was a small square sticker. Just peeled off and put some goo-gone to remove residue.

Our Forester we purchased new was so new they didn't even have time to put dealer sticker on.

I tell them no decal on my car unless I get paid for advertising, hadn't had one in 25 years

I got it off with my finger nails and cleaning off the excess glue with detailing spray thanks for all the suggestions and advice

I have used Goo Gone, a hair dryer and waxed dental floss to "shave" it off. I heat it up with the hair dryer for a bit, then liberally drip some Goo Gone into the adhesive, then after that works its way in and saturates the adhesive material i gently use the dental floss (doubled over a few times...it breaks easy) to then "saw" through the adhesive. I then remove any remaining adhesive residue with a MF towel and more Goo Gone. Wash the area thoroughly when all done and clean and voila!

The flush mounted decals are removed with just Goo Gone. I soak a MF pretty good with the solvent and hold it on the decal. That's usually enough to get one corner of it to lift a bit and then i can usually easily remove the entire sticker intact. Again, clean thoroughly when done.

If you use just a little heat from a hair dryer or heat gun, it is just enough to get it statrted. Then a little 3M adhesive remover.
