Removing Hairline Scratches and Tiny Chip

Realistically, should I expect to be able to 'remove' (by abrading the paint, etc.) the hairline scratches and teeny tiny chip (like the size of a ballpoint pen tip) shown in the attached pics on my Jet Black Bimmer paint?

I have a PC 7424 with a variety of colored pads, Menz Power Finish and SIP on hand.

You will never be able to remove chips of paint, they need to be filled in with paint or sanded down and repainted.
 
If the scratches are not too deep then you can remove them... if they are deep then it's better to improve them, not try to completely remove them and then learn to live with them, especially if the vehicle in question is a "daily driver".
