Removing paint Drips

I cannot find a thread which might be my fault because im blind but, how would you go about removing paint drips without repainting the entire car ?

I ask this because a friends car has paint drips on the bonnet which we arnt sure whether its in the clear coat or primer.

Is it possible to do it in both situations or not ?

Runs should only be in the clear as the first few coats of primer and color are only sprayed enough for full coverage. Runs happen in the clear as you would usually spray heavier applications to make sure the paint is covered well. Also it is very hard to see runs in clear depending on the booth lighting. You will see runs in primer or color as they stand out like a sore thumb.

It looks like its in the color but i could be wrong, ill give that a try and see what happens

Since i dont own a sanding block, what grit block would i need ?

Edit: I read the link you gave me and it explained it all, and to be sure

If i wetsand i use water and sanding paper wrapped in a block or i can just use the sanding block 1000 grit and it does the same thing ?

I've had to remove "drips" before. In my opinion (if it is just a CC run)

Precision is your best friend.

Be as gentle as possible and remember using the least abrasive method is always a good start.

Could someone please explain the difference between sanding blocks and wet sanding ? because there are no stores near me that sell the blocks but i can get paper/blocks.
