•With the innate idiosyncrasies involvedYes, I am that lazy.
Do you use this method?
I don’t actually remove all of the
polish with an LSP. Rather, I don’t
strive to buff to perfection as I
immediately apply a wax or sealant
with a small amount of polish residue
still remaining and use the wax or
sealant to finish.
•With the innate idiosyncrasies involved
in attempting the total removal of Meguiar’s
M07’s (“Pure Polish”) residues being the
one exception…
-I personally don’t ever use this method.
•Rather:
-I don’t consider it to be a “Best Practice”
in the overall scheme of Detailing.
•Then again:
-If this method works for you guys…

Could have swore I read somewhere on AG that a little polish residue actually aids in bonding.
My old chemistry prof says that ain't happening ...
It was a review of a specific paint cleaner or polish (No not DG 601).
Perhaps it was CarPro Essence ?
Is this initial question referencing to a "method" developed by a famous detailer that he applies an AIO in 20 mins around the car and remove it with a "sealant"???

Nah, it was old school. Not ceramic prep.
Perhaps a Griots product. The vid explained how the surface residue aided bonding.
BTW, my old chemistry prof became a meth dealer.
I know it sounds counterintuitive, but I’m going to find that vid/product if it’s the last thing I ever do!
Mike has an article on this topic, its a great read
Miscible and Immiscible - Wax and Paint Sealant Bonding
I think i remember Cruz’s car wash doing this maybe? I could be mistaken but I think I remember him spraying polish /AIO with PNS and then wiping off.
Yes. He used Essence and polished off the residue with PNS.
